The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, New Brunswick Chapter ( CPAWS NB ) is organizing a day-long workshop on the topic:
“Wildlife, Woodlands and Habitat Connectivity in the Chignecto Isthmus Corridor”
Date/Time: November 29, 2008 (9am – 4:00pm)
Location: Room DUNN 108, Mount Allison University , Sackville NB
Cost: $20 (lunch included)
The session will discuss how woodlots can contribute to wildlife habitat conservation, and techniques landowners can use to conserve wildlife on their property and aid in the movement of wildlife through the landscape. The content is suitable for any landowner or woodlot owner with an interest, and also land managers and planners.

· Woodlots and their Contribution to Regional Habitat Needs and Wildlife Corridors (Dr. Karen Beazley and graduate students, Dalhousie University )
· Connectivity on the Chignecto Isthmus (Chris Miller, CPAWS NS)
· Pollet River (NB) Private Woodlot Watershed Management Program (Nairn Hay, Fundy Model Forest NB )
· Wildlife Habitat Restoration Options for Owners of Acadian Woodlands (Bob Bancroft, Wildlife Biologist)
Continuing Education Credits for Foresters: ARPFNB members earn 18 CFE credits, NBFTA members earn 6 CFE credits
