Hi All,
The NBFTA AGM scheduled to take place in Moncton on April 2nd has been postponed until after the COVID-19 situation has been resolved. That could mean the canceling for the year completely or possibly holding an event later in the spring or summer.
It should be noted, that as expected the Canadian Woodlands Forum Spring Meeting has been canceled as well. This was to take place on April 1st and 2nd, 2020. The below message was shared by the CWF organizers:
CWF Spring Meeting Cancelled Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Over the last 25 years, the CWF spring meeting has become recognized as one of the largest meetings of forestry professionals in Atlantic Canada; an annual event not to be missed. The line-up of speakers and timely topics for this year’s program was second to none, along with the other elements of the meeting such as the awards program and Log a Load for Kids fund raiser.
However, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, the safety and health of our delegates, speakers, and suppliers comes first. To this end, the Canadian Woodlands Forum has hereby cancelled the 2020 spring meeting scheduled for April 1-2, 2020. As disappointing and unprecedented that this decision is, it is necessary to protect our members and comply with recommendations from our Public Health authorities throughout the region.
Thanks to all of our delegates, speakers and sponsors who prepared for the spring meeting. The CWF will continue to work on your behalf throughout 2020; we wish you and your families all the best during this period of unprecedented times.
Thank you and be safe.
